I took up kayaking in 1989, in North Wales as a trainee instructor seeking summer adventures between alpine ski seasons. Ten years later, I was head of kayaking at the National Watersports Centre for Wales, with a passion for white water, surf and sea kayaking. In 1999 I gained BCU level 5 Coach qualifications in white water and sea kayaking. Between paddling days, I also graduated from Bangor University with a degree in Sport, Health and Physical Education.

Nancy Snow

Nancy was born and raised in Nova Scotia and spent most of her growing up years living (and playing) on the water in St. Margaret's Bay.  Her love for the water was developed at a very early age.  After moving to Waterloo, ON in her adult years to complete her Masters in Social Work, she spent time living and working in London, ON.  Realizing that her heart was back in Nova Scotia, decided to return home in 2006 and hasn't looked back since.  Her first summer home, she was introduced to Sea Kayaking and her passion for the sport developed quickly.

She holds a Paddle Canada Level 2 skills certification and recently aquired her Paddle Canada Level 1 Instructors certification.  Nancy looks forward to passing on her passion for Sea Kayaking to others

Trudy Killam

Trudy is a Can Fit Pro certified personal trainer in Dartmouth, NS. She was first introduced to kayaking in high school by her track and field coach who thought she would enjoy his summer Kayaking program. It was love at first launch (K-1 no less).
